Mervin Frank Sackett, son of James Calvin Sackett and Anna Eliza Harris, was born in Tekamah, Burt County, NebraskaG, on 3 August 1900.1 He died aged 54 in Los Angeles, CaliforniaG, on 16 October 19542 and was buried at Los Angeles National CemeteryG on 21 October 1954.3,4,5
     In 1910 Mervin was living in Arizona, Burt County, NebraskaG, in the household of his parents James and Anna, and was recorded in the census as Mervin Sackett, aged eight and born in Nebraska.6
     Mervin completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 18 and was employed as a guardman for the Potash Production Company. He was living at Hoffland, Sheridan County, NebraskaG, with his parents.7
     In 1920 he was living in Arizona, Burt County, NebraskaG, in the household of his parents James and Anna, and was recorded as Mervin Sackett, aged 19.8
     In 1930 he was living in Tekamah, Burt County, NebraskaG, and was recorded as Mervin F Sackett, deputy treasurer in the County Office, aged 29 and single. He was a lodger in the household of Herman and Ethel Wragge.9
     In 1940 he was living in Tekamah, Burt County, NebraskaG, in the household of his parents Calvin and Anna, and was recorded as Mervin Sackett, deputy treasurer, aged 39 and single.10
     Mervin served as a Corporal in the US Army from 1917 to 1918 in the First World War and from 1942 to 1945 in the Second World War.4
