Mattie Irene Sackett, daughter of George Sackett and Pearl Blakey, was born in Battlefield, Greene County, MissouriG, on 11 August 1910.1 She died aged 77 in Stuarts Draft, Augusta County, VirginiaG, on 8 February 19881 and was buried at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Johnson City, Washington County, TennesseeG.1 She married Allen Crosby Bean, son of Harry Maynard Bean and Mary Louise Crosby. Allen was born in Somerville, Middlesex County, MassachusettsG, on 25 December 1909.1 He died aged 71 in Townsend, TennesseeG, on 25 May 19811 and was buried at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Johnson CityG, on 28 May 1981.1
     In 1920 Mattie was living at Battlefield Road, Porter, Christian County, MissouriG, in the household of her parents George and Pearl, and was recorded in the census as Irene Sackett, aged nine and born in Missouri.2
