Harry Lee Sackett, son of Samuel L Sackett and Minnie E Armstrong, was born in Burt County, NebraskaG, on 8 August 1888.1,2 He died aged 73 in Portland, Multnomah County, OregonG, on 19 September 1961 and was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Altadena, Los Angeles County, CaliforniaG.3,4 He married in Alexandria, VirginiaG, in 1920, Hildegard Schamber, daughter of John Schamber and Marie Kayser.5 Hildegard was born in Olivet, Hutchinson County, South DakotaG, on 17 September 1887.6 She died aged 77 in Orange County, CaliforniaG, on 19 April 1965 and was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, AltadenaG.3,7
     In 1900 Harry was living at Oakland Avenue, Oakland, Burt County, NebraskaG, in the household of his parents Samuel and Minnie, and was recorded in the census as Harry L Sackett, aged eleven and born in Nebraska.8
     In 1910 he was living in Lakeland Township, Barron County, WisconsinG, in the household of his parents Samuel and Minnie, and was recorded as Harry Sackett, aged 21.9
     Harry completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was a rural mail carrier, single, aged 28, and was living at Madison Avenue, Nampa, Canyon County, IdahoG.10
     Harry served as a Private in Company H, 67th Infantry, in Washington, DCG, from 15 July to 28 December 1918.11
     In 1920 he was living at Maryland Avenue, Washington, DCG, and was recorded as Harry L Sackett, a government clerk, aged 31, single. He was a lodger in the household of William L Paull.12
     In 1930 Harry was living at Inglewood, Los Angeles County, CaliforniaG, and was recorded in the census as Harry L Sackett, an Internal Revenue agent, head of household, aged 41 and born in Nebraska. Living with him were his wife Hildegard, 42, and their children, Wilbur, 7, and Naomi, aged four.13
     In 1940 he was living at Lincoln Avenue, Pasadena, Los Angeles CountyG, and was recorded as Harry Sackett, an auditor at the Internal Revenue Treasury department, head of household, aged 51. Living with him were his wife Hildegard, 52, and their children, Wilbur, 17, and Naomi, aged 14.14
     Harry completed a World War II draft registration card on 25 April 1942. He was aged 54 and was employed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue. He was living at 2488 N Lincoln Avenue, AltadenaG, with his wife Hildegard.15
     In 1950 he was living at 2488 Lincoln Avenue, AltadenaG, and was recorded as Harry L Sackett, Internal Revenue agent, head of household, aged 61. His wife Hildegard, 62, was living with him.16

Sackett—Harry L. Sackett, 73, passed away Sept. 19, 1961 at Portland, Oregon. He is survived by his wife Hildegard Sackett, son Wilbur S. Sackett of Pasadena and daughter Mrs. Robert C. Edear of West Covina, also five grandchildren. The Rev. Armin Hesse will officiate at services 11 a.m. Monday at the Mountain View Mortuary, 2400 North Fair Oaks Ave., Altadena.

Sackett — Hildegard Sackett passed away April 19, 1965.
