Cyrus George Pogue, son of Preston Patrick Pogue and Aner Sackett, was born in Greene County, OhioG, on 13 September 1839.1 He died aged 78 in Fletcher, Miami County, OhioG, on 27 December 1917 and was buried at Fletcher CemeteryG.1
     In 1850 Cyrus was living at Sugar Creek, Greene County, OhioG, in the household of his parents Preston and Aner, and was recorded in the census as Cyrus Pogue, aged ten and born in Ohio.2
     In 1860 he was living in Brown, Miami CountyG, in the household of his parents Preston and Aner, and was recorded as Cyrus Pogue, a farmer, aged 19.3
