Donald Alfred Sackett Marsh, son of James George Marsh and Emma Hogbin, was born in Broadstairs, KentG, in 1886.1,2 He died aged 71 at home at 7 Crow Hill, BroadstairsG, on 21 March 1957.3,4 He married in Camberwell, LondonG, in 1910, Helen Cicely Perkins.5,6 Helen was born in CamberwellG in about 1885.
In 1891 Donald was living at 7 & 8 Clarendon Road, St Peter in Thanet, KentG, in the household of his parents James and Emma, and was recorded in the census as Donald A S Marsh, aged five and born in Broadstairs.7
In 1901 he was living at 7 Lordship Lane, Camberwell, LondonG, in the household of his parents James and Emma, and was recorded as Donald A S Marsh, a scholar, aged 15 and born in Broadstairs.8
In 1911 he was living at 8 High Street, Broadstairs, KentG, and was recorded as Donald Alfred Sackett Marsh, a gas fitter with the Broadstairs Gas Company, head of household, married, aged 25 and born in Broadstairs. Living with him was his wife Helen Cicely, also aged 25.9
Donald and his sister Emma proved their mother Emma's will in LondonG on 17 May 1934. Her estate was valued at £807.10
Donald left a will which was proved on 6 May 1957 by his son Alan. His estate was valued at £2,979.11
