Hobart Joseph Sackett Jr, son of Hobart Joseph Sackett and Mary A Ryan, was born in New Haven, ConnecticutG, on 28 February 1891.1,2
     In 1900 Hobart was living at State Street, New HavenG, in the household of his parents Hobart and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Hobart Sackett, a schoolboy, aged nine and born in Connecticut.3
     In 1910 he was living in New HavenG in the household of his parents Hobart and Mary, and was recorded as Hobart Sackett Jr, a stenographer in a railroad office, aged 18 and born in Connecticut.4
     Hobart completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was then aged 26 and was married with a child. The family were living at 1263 State Street, New HavenG. He was assistant chief clerk at the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad Company.5
