Mary Ann Amelia Sackett, daughter of Thomas Francis Sackett and Charlotte Pritchard, was born in Bermondsey, SurreyG, in 1854.1 She married at St James the Great, Bethnal Green, MiddlesexG, on 7 July 1872, John Luce, son of Henry Luce.2
     In 1861 Mary was living at 15 Pleasant Row, Bermondsey, SurreyG, in the household of her father Thomas F Sackett, a shipwright, and was recorded in the census as Mary A Sackett, aged 6, a scholar, born in Rotherhithe.3
