Eli John Sackett, son of Eli John Sackett and Amelia Terry, was born in Bermondsey, SurreyG, on 21 September 1844.1,2 He was baptized at St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, LondonG, on 17 November 1844.2 He died aged 21 in St Olave Southwark, SurreyG,3 and was buried at the City of London and Tower Hamlets Cemetery (Bow Cemetery)G on 5 May 1866.4 Eli was a waterman.
     In 1851 Eli was living at 40 Clarence Street, Rotherhithe, SurreyG, and was recorded in the census as Eli Sackett, aged six and born in Bermondsey, the son of Eli Sackett.5
