Henry "Harry" Sackett, bricklayer, son of Edward Brewer Sackett and Fanny Goodburn, was born in St Peter in Thanet, KentG, in 18461,2 and baptized (as Harry Sackett) at St Peter in ThanetG on 14 February 1847.2 He died aged 85 in Maidstone, KentG, in 1932.3 He married at St Peter in ThanetG on 8 October 1870, Mary Shill, daughter of John Shill.4,5 Mary was born in St Peter in ThanetG in about 1848.6 She died there aged 577,8 and was buried at St Peter in ThanetG on 5 August 1905.7
     In 1851 Henry was living at 50 Church Street, St Peter's, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Harry Sackett, aged four and born in St Peter's, son of Edward B Sackett.9
     In 1861 he was living at Callis Court Farm, St Peter's, KentG, in the household of his uncle and aunt, Thomas and Harriet Sackett, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a farm cart driver, aged 14, and born in St Peter's.10
     In 1871 he was living at 4 Bentley Cottage, St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a bricklayer, head of household, married, aged 24, and born in St Peter's, Thanet. Living with him was his wife Mary, aged 22, and born in Staffordshire. Also in the household was a lodger, Peter Emptage.11
     In 1881 he was living at 1 Sycamore Cottage, St Peter's, KentG, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a builder, head of household, married, aged 34 and born in St Peter inThanet. Living with him were his wife Mary, aged 32 and also born in St Peter's, his daughters, Hester Frances, 9, and Harriet Ann aged seven, and a lodger William Bond.12
     In 1891 he was living at Church Street, St Peter's, KentG, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a bricklayer, head of household, married, aged 44, and born in Ramsgate. Living with him were his wife Mary, aged 42, and born in Gloucester, and their daughter Hester, aged 19.13
     In 1901 he was living at 8 Church Street, St Peter in ThanetG, and was recorded as Harry Sackett, a bricklayer, head of household, aged 54. Living with him were his wife Mary, 53, and their daughter Hester, 29. There was also a male boarder in the household.14
     In 1921 he was living at 55 Peel Street, MaidstoneG, in the household of Charlotte Pantony, and was recorded as Harry Sackett, old age pensioner, a boarder, aged 74.15
