Samuel L Sackett, son of Samuel L Sackett and Anna Larkin, was born in Seneca County, New York StateG, in April 1860.2,3 He married in Tekamah, Burt County, NebraskaG, on 15 April 1887, Minnie E Armstrong.3
     In 1870 Samuel was living in RomulusG in the household of his parents Samuel and Ann, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Sackett, a schoolboy, aged nine and born in New York.4
     In 1900 he was living at Oakland Avenue, Oakland, Burt County, NebraskaG, and was recorded as Samuel L Sackett, an agent for stock food, head of household, married, aged 40 and born in New York. He owned his house on mortgage. Living with him were his wife Minnie, 32, and their children, Harry, 11, Leta, 9, and Earl, aged three.5
     In 1910 he was living in Lakeland Township, Barron County, WisconsinG, and was recorded as Samuel L Sackett, a farmer, head of household, married, aged 49 and born in New York. He owned his farm on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Minnie, 42, and their children, Harry, 21, Earl, 13, and Herbert, aged six. Samuel's brother Hamlin had the neighboring farm.6
