Sarah Louise Heath, daughter of Charles Richard "Chuck" Heath and Sarah "Sally" Sheeran, was born in Sandpoint, Bonner County, IdahoG, on 11 February 1964.1 She married in Palmer, Matanuska Susitna, AlaskaG, on 29 August 1988, Todd Mitchell Palin.1
     Sarah (Heath) Palin was elected Governor of Alaska in 2006. She was the youngest person (at 42), and the first woman, to hold that office. She resigned in July 2009. She was the Republican vice-presidential candidate, with John McCain running for US president, in 2008.2
     Sarah is a double Sackett descendant following the marriage in her Sackett line of first cousins Homer Strong and Augusta Godfrey.
