Jane Emily Haddock, daughter of James Haddock and Jane Sackett, was born in Colchester, EssexG, in about 1825.1
     In 1851 Jane was living at 9 Angel Lane, St Martin's, Colchester, EssexG, in the household of her uncle Jeremiah Haddock, 58, a private banker, and was recorded in the census as Jane E Haddock, unmarried, aged 25 and born in Colchester. Also in the household were Jane's brother William, 27, and two female servants.2
     In 1861 she was living at West Stockwell Street, St Martin's, ColchesterG, in the household of her uncle Jeremiah Haddock, and was recorded as Jane E Haddock, unmarried, aged 35 and born in Colchester, Essex.3
