Alvin Cecil Sackett, son of Joseph Sanford Sackett and Harriett Robb, was born in Smithfield, Gosper County, NebraskaG, on 30 September 1893.1 He died aged 77 in Alliance, Stark County, OhioG, on 6 September 19711,2 and was buried at Mount Union Cemetery, AllianceG.1 He married in Ravenna, Portage County, OhioG, on 26 January 1920, Florence May Garrett, daughter of Charles Garrett and Ada Hooper.1
     Alvin completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was then aged 23 and was a laborer at the National Biscuit Company. He was living in Marseilles, LaSalle County, IllinoisG.3
