Edmund Samuel Sackett, son of Charles Henry Sackett and Ruth Ellen Booth, was born in Kimball, Brule County, South DakotaG, on 3 March 1889.1 He died aged 82 in Brule CountyG on 2 July 19712 and was buried at White Lake Cemetery, Aurora County, South DakotaG.3,4 He married at White LakeG on 8 November 1910, Maude Elsa Overmann, daughter of Joseph Overmann.5 Maude was born in Wayne, NebraskaG, on 11 March 1890.3 She died aged 45 in Mitchell, Davison County, South DakotaG, on 8 October 1935 and was buried at Graceland Cemetery, Mitchell, Davison County, South DakotaG.3
     In 1900 Edmund was living at White LakeG in the household of his parents Charles and Ruth, and was recorded in the census as Edmund S Sackett, aged eleven and born in South Dakota.6
     In 1910 he was living at White LakeG in the household of his parents Charles and Ruth, and was recorded as Edmond S Sackett, a farmer, aged 20.7
     Edmund completed a World War I draft registration card in Aurora County on 5 June 1917. He was then aged 28 and was a self-employed farmer living near White LakeG.8
     In 1920 he was living at White LakeG and was recorded as Edmund S Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 30. Living with him were his wife Maud, 29, and their children, Alice, 5, Elsie, 3, and Loraine, aged one.9
     In 1930 he was living at East 2nd Avenue, Mitchell, Davison County, South DakotaG, and was recorded as Edmund S Sackett, a life insurance agent, head of household, aged 41. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Maude, 40, and their children, Alice, 15, Elsie, 13, and Lorraine, aged eleven. There was also a female roomer in the household.10
