Amy May Gertrude Giles, daughter of Charles Giles and Julia Catherine Cook Sackett, was born in Bromley, KentG, in 1883.1,2
     In 1901 Amy was living at 43/45 Homedale Road, Bromley, KentG, in the household of her widowed mother Julia, and was recorded in the census as Amy May G Giles, assistant in her mother's beer house, aged 17 and born in Bromley.3
     In 1911 she was living at 243 Hollydale Road, Peckham, LondonG, in the household of her mother Julia, and was recorded as Amy May Gertrude Giles, a cashier in a drapery, single, aged 27 and born in Bromley.4
     Amy proved her mother Julia's will on 2 February 1924. Her estate was valued at £325.5
