William Rochambeau Sackett, a farmer, son of Chauncey Sackett and Susan Kennedy, was born in Branch County, MichiganG, on 4 July 1846.1,2 He died aged 72 in Steuben County, New York StateG, on 28 September 19181 and was buried at North Jasper Cemetery, Jasper, Steuben County, New York StateG.1 He married first Mary Frances Peck.1 He married second Mary E Clemons.1
     In 1850 William was living in Batavia, Branch County, MichiganG, in the household of his father Chauncey and stepmother Samantha, and was recorded in the census as Rochambeau Sackett, aged four and born in Michigan.3
