Elihu Elton Sackett, son of Elton Sackett and Nellie Sofia Birch, was born in Winnebago, Faribault County, MinnesotaG, on 27 December 1892.2 He died in Martin County, MinnesotaG, on 13 March 1967.2 He married in about 1912, Amy Floretta Maine.3
In 1900 Elihu was living in Shelby, Blue Earth County, MinnesotaG, in the household of his parents Elton and Nellie, and was recorded in the census as Elihu F Sacket, aged eight and born in Minnesota.4
Elihu completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was then aged 24 and was a self-employed tiler. He was living in WinnebagoG and was married with two children.5
In 1920 he was living at Main Street, WinnebagoG, and was recorded as Elihu E Sackett, a garage mechanic, head of household, aged 27. He owned his home on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Amy, 26, and their children, Arnold, 6, Virginia, 2, and Elton, aged one.6
