Alfred Ernest Sackett, son of George Steven Sackett and Phoebe Levisa Potter, was born in Cherry Grove, Goodhue County, MinnesotaG, on 23 September 1878.1 He died aged 76 at the Owatonna City Hospital, Owatonna, Steele County, MinnesotaG, on 19 June 19551 and was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Dodge Center, Goodhue CountyG.1 He married at Red Wing, Goodhue CountyG, on 2 October 1902, Myrtle Agnes Hunt, daughter of Cortland Hunt and Phoebe Jane Brown.1
     In 1880 Alfred was living at Cherry Grove, Goodhue County, MinnesotaG, in the household of his parents George and Phoebe, and was recorded in the census as Alfred Sackett, aged one and born in Minnesota.2
     In 1900 he was living in Cherry GroveG in the household of his parents George and Phoebe, and was recorded as Alfred E Sackett, aged 21.3
     Alfred completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was then aged 39 and was a self-employed farmer. He was living at Dodge Center 8, Claremont, Dodge County, MinnesotaG, with his wife Myrtle.4
