Joseph Larue Sackett, son of Joseph Sackett and Eleanor LaRue, was born in Wrightstown, Bucks County, PennsylvaniaG, in about 1792.1 He died aged about 40 in WrightstownG on 11 July 1832 and was buried at the William Penn Cemetery, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaG.2 He married in Bucks CountyG on 7 February 1822, Phebe Rhodes, daughter of Jacob Rhodes and Margaret Vansant.3 Phebe was baptized at the Southampton Dutch Reformed Church, Bucks CountyG, on 23 October 1796.4 She died aged 77 on 5 February 1873 and was buried at the William Penn CemeteryG.5,6
     Joseph was taxed in WrightstownG in 1825 on 69 acres of land, two horses, three cattle, and a dog. In 1832 he was taxed on 72 acres, three horses, and four cattle.7
     Joseph was listed in the 1830 census as a householder in WrightstownG.8
     Administration of Joseph's estate was granted in Bucks CountyG in 1832.9
     Joseph's widow Phebe was taxed in Southampton, Bucks CountyG, in 1833 on 26 acres of land and a cow.10
     In 1850 Phebe was living in Moreland, Philadelphia County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded as Phebe Sackett, aged 54 and born in Pennsylvania. Living with her were her children, Eleanor, 23, Camilla, 21, and Ann, aged 19.11
     In 1860 she was living in Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded as Phebe Sacket, aged 64.12
     In 1870 she was living in PhiladelphiaG and was recorded as Phebe Sackett, aged 74. Living with her were her daughter Ann, 39, Ann's husband John Wright, 40, and their children, Phebe, 11, Alferd, 10, Moses, 8, and Charles, aged four.13
