Horatio Northrup Sackett, son of Norman Sackett and Sally Northrup, was born in Tallmadge, Summit County, OhioG, in 1812.2 He was baptized at the Congregational Church, TallmadgeG, on 22 September 1812.2 He died aged 50 at the Park Barracks Hospital, Louisville, Jefferson County, KentuckyG, on 22 November 1862.2,3
     Horatio Sackett served as a Union soldier in the American Civil War in Company C, 21st Regiment Michigan Volunteer Infantry. He died in service.4,3
     Horatio was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in Ruggles, Ashland County, OhioG.5
