Lucy Ann Sackett, daughter of Augustus Russell Sackett and Mary Haw, was born probably in Canton, St Lawrence County, New York StateG, in 1846.1 She died aged 50 in York, OntarioG, on 12 August 1896.2,3 She married in Bobcaygeon, Victoria County, Ontario, CanadaG, on 8 February 1876, Edward Hawe, a carpenter and her first cousin, son of Joseph Haw and Elizabeth Stanbury.4 Edward was born in Perry Town, Ontario, CanadaG, in 1854.2 After Lucy's death, Edward maried Annie MacLean.2 He died aged about 85 in 1939.2
In 1850 Lucy was living in Canton, St Lawrence County, New York StateG, in the household of her parents Augustus and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Lucy A Sackett, aged three and born in New York.5
In 1861 she was living in Darlington, Durham County, CanadaG, in the household of her parents Augustus and Mary, and was recorded as Lucy Sackett, aged 15.6
In 1871 she was living in Victoria County, Ontario, CanadaG, in the household of her parents Augustus and Mary, and was recorded as Lucy Sacket, aged 25 and born in Ontario.7
In 1881 she was living at Fenelon FallsG in the household of her husband Edward Haw, 29, a carpenter, and was recorded as Lucy Haw, aged 24. Living with them were their children, Harvey, 4, and Lillian, aged two.8
In 1891 she was living in TorontoG in the household of her husband Edward Haw, 39, a carpenter, and was recorded as Lucy Ann Haw, aged 44. Their son Harvey, aged 14, was living with them.9
