Prudence M Sackett, daughter of Amos Sackett and Lucinda Knickerbocker, was born in Lockport, Niagara County, New York StateG, in 1830.1 She married first in Jackson County, MichiganG, on 17 March 1851, Isaac Ashley, son of George W Ashley and Charlotte Gavett.2 She married second in Martinsville, Wayne County, MichiganG, on 7 August 1887, William R Wheeler, a farmer.3
     In 1880 Prudence was living in New Boston, Wayne County, MichiganG, in the household of her 80-year-old father Amos, and was recorded in the census as Prudence Sacket, divorced, aged 49 and born in New York.4
