Amelia Emma Sackett, daughter of Charles Sackett and Esther Haradine, was born in Kennington, Lambeth, SurreyG, on 30 August 18721 and baptized at St James Church, LambethG, on 6 June 1875.2 She married at St Mary's Church, Newington, LondonG, in 1895, Alfred Augustus Ball.3,4
     In 1881 Amelia was living at 6 Pleasant Place, Lambeth, SurreyG, in the household of her father Charles, a general labourer, and was recorded in the census as Amelia Sackett, a scholar, aged nine and born in Kennington.5
