John William Sackett, son of Milford F Sackett and Angeline Young, was born in Amboy, Fulton County, OhioG, on 15 July 1885.3 He died aged about 63 in 1948.3 He married Marie Manor.2
     John completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 33 and was living at Newport, Monroe County, MichiganG, with his wife Marie. He was employed as a telegrapher at the New York Central Railroad. His left leg had been amputated below the knee.4
