Jessie Annie Louise Sackett, daughter of Henry "Harry" Sackett and Louisa Elizabeth Mathison, was born in Dagenham, EssexG, on 24 June 18941,2,3 and baptized at St Peter & St Paul, DagenhamG, on 23 September 1894.4,5 She died aged 83 in Bromley, LondonG, on 26 March 1978.6,7 She married in Croydon, SurreyG, in 1930, Arthur William Wardley.8,9 Arthur was born in Highbury, LondonG, on 19 August 1882.3,2,10 He died aged 80 in CroydonG in 1963.11
     In 1901 Jessie was living at 6 Rosedale Terrace, Rainham, EssexG, in the household of her parents Henry and Louisa, and was recorded in the census as Jessie Sackett, aged six and born in Dagenham.12
     In 1911 she was living at 39 Elm Road North, Prenton, CheshireG, in the household of a Cowie family, and was recorded as Jessie Annie Louise Sackett, a general domestic servant, aged 16.13
     In 1921 she was living at Orchard Cottage, St John's Road, Orpington, KentG, in the household of Arthur and Grace Wardley, and was recorded as Jessie Annie Louise Sackett, a general domestic servant, aged 27.14 Arthur's first wife Grace died on 2 October 1927 and he subsequently married his former servant Jessie Sackett.15,16
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Jessie and Arthur were living at 13 Mulgrave Road, CroydonG. Arthur was an export merchant.17
     Jessie left a will which was proved in London on 26 June 1978. Her estate was valued at £37,000.7
