Samuel B Sackett, farmer, son of Alexander Sackett and Mary Brewster, was born in Greene County, OhioG, on 23 January 1854.1 He died aged 28 in Sugar Creek Township, Greene CountyG, on 29 August 1882.1,2 He married in Montgomery County, OhioG, on 12 January 1881, Laura Sears.3
     In 1860 Samuel was living in Sugar CreekG in the household of his father Alexander and stepmother Mary, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Sackett, aged six and born in Ohio.4
