Darius C Sackett, son of Colonel Augustine Sackett and Arze Starr, was born on 7 December 1839.1 He died on 10 February 1871.1 He married Mattie Smith.1
Corporal Darius Sackett enlisted in the 126th Regiment, New York Volunteer Infantry, at Canandaigua, in August 1862. He was wounded in action the following month at Maryland Heights, and was discharged for wounds in November 1862 at Annapolis, Maryland.2
