Emily Sibyl Sackett, daughter of Justus Sackett and Mary "Polly" Bradley, was born in Warren, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 26 January 18171,2,3 and baptized at the Congregational Church of Christ, WarrenG, on 8 June 1828.4 She died aged 65 in WarrenG on 26 February 18822,3,5 and was buried at the Old Cemetery, WarrenG.6 She married in WarrenG on 1 October 1840, Henry James Comstock, son of Silas Comstock and Chenia White.7,2 Henry was born in Williamstown, MassachusettsG, on 27 May 1816.8 He died aged 76 in WarrenG on 29 March 18938 and was buried at the Old Cemetery, WarrenG.9 He variously used the names Henry and James.
     Emily was admitted to the Congregational Church of Christ, WarrenG, on 2 September 1832, and was recorded as a member there in 1845.10,11
     In 1850 Emily was living in Cornwall, Litchfield CountyG, in the household of her husband James, 36, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Emily Comstock, aged 33. Living with them were their children, Silia, 8, and Justus, aged six months.12
     In 1860 she was living in WarrenG in the household of her husband Henry, 46, a farmer, and was recorded as Emily S Comstock, aged 43. Living with them were their children, Silia, 18, and Justus, aged ten, and Emily's mother Polly Sackett, 73.13
     Emily and Henry attended a reunion of some thirty Sackett relations at the home in Washington, ConnecticutG, of Simeon and Malinda (Sackett) Ford on 13 August 1873.
     In 1880 she was living in WarrenG in the household of her husband James, 66, a farmer, and was recorded as Emily Comstock, aged 63.14
