James Henry Sackett, son of Russell Sackett and Jane Ann Stephenson, was born in New York StateG on 4 December 1818.1,2 He died aged 91 on 10 August 1910.3 He married on 29 April 1845, Aurelia Chapin, daughter of Orange Chapin and Fanny Green.1
     In 1900 James was living at Ingham, Albion City, Calhoun County, MichiganG, and was recorded in the census as James Sackett, head of household, aged 81, married 55 years, and born in New York. He owned his house on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Aurelia, 77, their grandson Fred E Shank, 29, and Fred's wife Carrie, 27. James and Aurelia's son Fred Sackett and his family were living next door.4
