Arthur Vincent Sackett, master grocer, son of Vincent Andrew Sackett and Florence Annie Bull, was born in Acol, KentG, on 2 November 1899.1,2,3,4 He was baptized at Holy Trinity Church, Ramsgate, KentG, on 2 January 1915.5 He died aged 100 years two months in the Isle of Wight, HampshireG, on 30 December 1999.6,7 He married in Epsom, SurreyG, in 1931, Doris Millicent Wingett, daughter of Bertram Wingett and Ellen ___.8,9 Doris was born in EpsomG on 9 January 1909.10,2,4 She died aged 38 at 87 West Street, Carshalton, SurreyG, on 23 January 1947.11,12
     In 1901 Arthur was living at Woodchurch Farm House, Acol, KentG, in the household of his parents Vincent and Florence, and was recorded in the census as Arthur Sackett, aged one and born in Acol.13
     In 1911 Arthur was living at Godwin College, 39 & 41 Harold Road, Margate, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Arthur Vincent Sackett, a student, aged 11 and born in Westgate.14
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Arthur and Doris were living at Yew Gates, Box Hill Road, Dorking, SurreyG. Arthur was a grocer and provisions merchant.15
     Arthur was granted administration on 20 May 1947 of his wife Doris's estate, valued at £671.16
     Arthur left a will which was proved in Winchester, HampshireG, on 23 March 2000.7
