Elizabeth Sarah "Bessie" Sackett, daughter of Rev Benjamin Sackett and Elizabeth Lee, was born in Hythe, KentG, in 1861.1,2 She died aged 85 at 34 Eltham Hill, LondonG, on 7 April 1946.3,4 She married at St George in the East, MiddlesexG, in 1884, John Miller, son of Eliza ___.5,6 John was born in St George in the East, MiddlesexG, in about 1861.2
     In 1861 Elizabeth was living at High Street, Hythe, KentG, in the household of her parents Benjamin and Elizabeth, and was recorded in the census as Sarah A Sackett, aged two weeks and born in Hythe.7
     In 1871 she was living at Fern Lane, Heston, MiddlesexG, in the household of her parents Benjamin and Elizabeth, and was recorded as Elizabeth Sarah Sackett, a scholar, aged ten and born in Hythe.8
     In 1881 she was living at 7 Trinity Terrace, Stepney, MiddlesexG, in the household of her parents Benjamin and Elizabeth, and was recorded as Elizabeth S Sackett, single, aged 20 and born in Hythe.9
     In 1891 she was living at 149 Brayard Road, Peckham, Camberwell, LondonG, in the household of her husband John Miller, 29, a grocer and provision dealer, and was recorded as Elizabeth S Miller, aged 30, and born in Hythe. Living with them were their children, John, 4, and Augustus, aged six months. Also in the household was John's widowed mother Eliza, 73.10
     In 1901 she was living at 149 Brayard Road, Peckham, CamberwellG, in the household of her husband John, 39, a grocer and shopkeeper, and was recorded as Elizabeth S Miller, aged 40 and born in Hythe. Living with them were their children, John, 14, Augustus, 10, and Thomas, aged six.11
     In 1911 she was living at 149 Brayard Road, PeckhamG, in the household of her husband John, 49, a grocer and shopkeeper, and was recorded as Elizabeth Sarah Miller, aged 50 and born in Hythe. Living with them were their unmarried sons, Augustus, 20, and Thomas, 16.12
     Elizabeth left a will which was proved on 14 November 1946 by her sons Augustus and Thomas. Her estate was valued at £1,979.13
