Harry Lee Sackett, son of Rev Benjamin Sackett and Elizabeth Lee, was born in Harefield, Uxbridge, MiddlesexG, on 29 August 18651,2 and baptized at Harefield Wesleyan-Methodist ChapelG on 1 October 1865.2 He married in Stepney, MiddlesexG, in 1885, Annie Hills.3 She was probably the Annie Sackett who died aged 61 in West Ham, EssexG, in 1925.4
     In 1871 Harry was living at Fern Lane, Heston, MiddlesexG, and was recorded in the census as Harry Lee Sackett, a scholar, aged 5 and born in Harefield, Middlesex, son of Benjamin Sackett.5
     In 1881 he was living at the Congregational School, Lewisham, KentG, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a scholar, aged 15 and born in Harefield, Middlesex.6
     In 1891 he was living at 1 St Thomas Villas, Maybank Road, Woodford, EssexG, and was recorded as Harry L Sackett, a shorthand writer (employed), head of household, married, aged 25, and born in Harefield, Middlesex. Living with him was his wife Annie, aged 26, and born in Epping, Essex. Also in the household was Annie's sister Fanny Hills, aged 19.7
     In 1901 he was living at Lilian Cottage, Derby Road, Woodford, EssexG, and was recorded as Harry Lee Sackett, a merchant's clerk, head of household, married, aged 35 and born in Harefield, Middlesex. Living with him were his wife Annie, 35, and Annie's unmarried sister Fanny, 28. Also in the household was a female general domestic servant.8
     He was listed at Lilian Cottage, Derby Road, South WoodfordG, in 1902 and 1906.9,10,11,12 By 1908 he had moved to Corinth Villa, still in Derby Road.13
     In 1911 he was living at Corinth Villa, Derby Road, South WoodfordG, and was recorded as H L Sackett, a shipowner's clerk, head of household, aged 45 and born in Harefield. Living with him were his wife Annie, aged 46 and two nephews, Frank Ganett, 12, and John Siggs, aged nine. Also in the household was a female servant.14

     In 1921 he was living at 65 Derby Road, WoodfordG, and was recorded as Harry Sackett, staff manager at Scruttons Ltd, stevedores, head of household, aged 55. His wife Annie, 56, was living with him.15
