Edgar Cyril Sackett, son of Thomas Edward Sackett and Florence Edith Le Page, was born at Les Ozouets, St Peter Port, GuernseyG, on 20 April 1902.1,2 He died aged 91 in Hoylake, Wirral, CheshireG, on 9 December 1993.3,4,5 He married on 11 May 1929, Doris Clara Senior, daughter of Albert Edward Senior and Theresa Bullivant.3,6,7 Doris was born in DerbyG on 26 March 1902.8,9,10 She died aged 75 in Manchester, LancashireG, in 1977.11
     In 1921 Edgar was living at 45 Dorset Avenue, Moss Side, South Manchester, LancashireG, in the household of his parents Thomas and Florence, and was recorded in the census as Edgar Cyril Sackett, aged 19, a junior clerk at the Manchester Education Committee.12
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Edgar and Doris were living at 48 Homeshead Crescent, Manchester, LancashireG. Edgar was clerk to the education committee.13
     Edgar proved his brother Roland's will on 28 August 1963. His estate was valued at £4,782.14
     Edgar left a will which was proved in Birmingham, WarwickshireG, on 8 April 1994.5
