William Sacket Jr, son of William Sacket and Olive Dean, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 14 December 1788.1,2,3 He died aged 75 in Alexandria, Jefferson County, New York StateG, on 17 February 18644 and was buried at Browns Corners Cemetery, Alexandria Center, Jefferson CountyG.5 He married in about 1819, Sabrina Carter.4,6 Sabrina was born on 15 June 1800.7 She died aged 64 in AlexandriaG on 9 January 18654 and was buried at Brown Corner CemeteryG.4
     William served as a Private in the 101st Regiment, New York Militia, in the War of 1812. His brothers, Samuel and Marvin, served in the same regiment.8
     William was listed in the census in 1820 and 1830 as a householder in Lowville, Lewis County, New York StateG.9,10 In 1840 he was a householder in Alexandria, Jefferson CountyG.11
     In 1850 William was living in AlexandriaG and was recorded in the census as William Sackett, aged 62 and born in Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Sabrina, 50, and their daughter Harriet, 21. Their son James was living next door with his family.12
