Michael Leroy Trickey, son of Harold McCrea Trickey and Audrey Pauline Hoard, was born in Wichita, Sedgwick County, KansasG, on 3 February 1946.1 He died aged 67 in San Antonio, Bexar County, TexasG, on 31 December 2013.1
Mike Trickey joined the Sackett Family Association in 2008 at the same time as attending that year's reunion, in Thanet, Kent. Members who met Mike at the reunion warmed to him at once. It was a pleasure to be in his company. He subsequently served on the Association Committee from 2010 to 2013.
Mike served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1991. He was a lifetime charter member of the Airborne Maintenance Technicians Association and a member of the Air Force Association. His Air Force career included postings in Okinawa, Thailand, Korea, Alaska, Florida, and England. At the time of his death he was living in Premont, Texas, where he had worked for the Raytheon Corporation for 20 years.
He had many interests: He was an avid genealogist and family historian; he was a constant reader, especially science fiction; and he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, especially with his family. He was always the family consultant for computers and all things technological and mechanical.1
