Rachel Ann Foster, daughter of Albert James Foster and Daisy Opal Dixon, was born in Columbus, Muscogee County, GeorgiaG, on 17 March 1946.1 She died in Dayton, Montgomery County, OhioG, on 6 May 2023.1 She married first in Richmond, Wayne County, IndianaG, on 27 February 1965, Brian Dean Blue.2 They divorced in Lorain County, OhioG, on 7 April 1980.3 She married second in RichmondG on 21 March 1981, Michael Joseph Stella.4
Rachel was a member of the Sackett Family Association.

Rachel Stella Obituary
Richmond, Ind. – Rachel A. Stella, age 77, of Richmond, Indiana, died Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
Born March 17, 1946, in Columbus, Georgia, to Albert L. and Daisy Dixon Foster, Rachel was a resident of this community for most of her life. She was a 1964 graduate of Richmond High School. Rachel retired from Stride Rite Corp. after 30+ years of service. She was a member of Christ United Church and taught Bible study for many years. Rachel was a Sunday School and Children's Sunday School teacher, as well as confirmation and vacation Bible School. She volunteered at various nursing homes. Rachel was a member of The Society of Indiana Pioneers and DAR and also volunteered at the Wayne County Historical Museum. Her Great-great grandfather, David F. Sackett, was the first doctor and recorder in Wayne County, Indiana in 1809. Rachel's greatest pleasure was spending time with family.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Stella; sons, David Blue of Richmond, Indiana, and Chris (Tammy) Blue, of Greenwood, South Carolina; grandsons, Logan (Alisha) Blue, Michael (Amanda) Blue, Neal Drew, Eli Blue, Jacob Drew, Tyler (Anna) Fehlinger, and Trent (Kaleigh) Fehlinger; 11 great grandchildren; and many friends, including special friend, Penny Cordell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Diane Blue, who died in 2016.
A funeral service for Rachel A. Stella will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Church, 3430 Backmeyer Road, Richmond, Indiana.
