In the Name of God Amen / I John Sacket of the p’ish of St Lawrence in the Isle of Thanet & County of Kent being of p’fect memory & Remembrance Praised bee God do make & ordaine this my last will
& Testament this first day of Aprill Anno Dni 1678 in manner & forme as followeth viz. First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my Maker hopeing that through the Merits Mediation Death and Passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour & Redeemer to receive free pardon & Forgivness of all my sins And as for my body to be buried in Christian Buriall at the discretion of my executrix hereafter nominated / Item I doe bequeath to my brother Thomas Sackett One Shilling / Item I bequeath to my Sister Anne Mocket of the p’ish of St Peters in the s’d Island & Countie widow One Shilling Item I bequeath to my Sister Martha Rickards wife of Thomas Rickards of the s’d p’ish of St Peters One Shilling / Item I bequeath unto my sister Katherine Mumery wife of Stephen Mumery of the p’ish of St Johns in the s’d Isle & County One Shilling Item I bequeath to Joane Overy my Sister wife of Richard Overy of the p’ish of St Johns One Shilling Item all the rest of my goods & Chattells whatsoever I give unto Judith my wife upon condition that she shall pay all my debts & legacies & make her sole executrix of this my last will & Testament / In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seale the day & yeare above written
